McLaren tribute

sadly Malcolm McLaren, the co-founder of punk, passed away from cancer the other day, so I decided to go punk as a tribute to him. ramones t shirt is my brother's, dad's tie, next coat, zara shorts, fishnets m&s, random self-destroyed socks, red doctor martens. i also did punk hair with a lot of teasing and my sunglasses, and green and purple punk make up. hope you liked it! xXjoyus

i love this outfit! the nautical red and white stripes clashes with the preppy brogues and long socks brilliantly- a look that you wouldn't think would work but it just does! fashion cybernerds like me will tell from the statement hair that it is an Alexander Wang outfit. i posted this picture up ages ago but no one commented as it was a short and boring few sentences that i accompanied with it. so i thought you might find it more interesting if i tried to duplicate the look - keeping strictly to high street clothes only .........

u like? gap shorts, new look vest top, random socks, tan leather brogue-style boots are (believe it or not) my mums 30 year old doctor martens! she usually uses them for gardening and stuff but i think brogues are coming into fashion- preppy kids (like i am trying to be) will love these style shoes!

i am saving for an abercrombie and Fitch body-warmer! I really love this one i found on ebay but i think it might be fake! o well i will be a prouder mother to a real one one one day!

feeling blue??

I have been enjoying a lazy day in today, and when the devil wears prada finished, i saw the clock- it was 10 to 5. So i thought id better get out of my pj's and get on some clothes, but i sort of accidentally picked all blue things to wear, so i thought i would go the whole hog and accessorize in blue stuff too. then i found the unnatural amount of blue scarves i have , so here they all are!!

jeggings from raw, shirt dress from kimchi & blue at urban outfitters, self-made bag (the 'joy' came out backwards because my web cam does that!) headband from topshop, scarves from bambooshoot, friends, and she-mag was my grandads.

one word - WOW

these are some looks me and my friend holly put together - the jack wills bodywarmer is hollys -jealous. we are having a sleepover which so far includes Chinese food, hair, make up, vogue, jack wills handbook, four weddings and a funeral, corrie, the mighty boosh (mighty boosh mad clothes post coming soon-watch this space) nachos and FASHION!!
in my outfit i am waering bodywarmer from jack wills, calvien klien shirt and republic top ( all hollys - growls) leather doc martins-red- gap shorts and doodie socks for xmas!!!!!!!!!!

im saving up for some Abercrombie and Fitch jogger bottoms - i really like the washed gray color & relaxed feel of these ones and the three quarter length style makes it not too samey as lots of people have those long jack wills jogger bottoms -they are quite nice but too many people have them and they are a bit pretentious- thats why im saving up these ones- u like??

cannot wait until summer- but the weather is really dreary and miserable. so i decided to do a dressed down summer look-the bottoms were all fine but i wasn't sure on the best t shirt so please tell me your favorite with a lovely comment to cheer me up from the lack of summeryness!

yyyyyaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!!!! I came home from shcool today to find that my replacement doc martens!!!!! they are all new and shiny!!! I am so happy to have them back now- i've missed my trade mark boots!!!!! woop woop!! in this outfit I'm wearing doc martens, jeggings from raw, grey t-shirt from topshop(i love that t-shirt, it's one of those ones that get more comfortable the more you wear it) bag fred perry, and cable sweater from jack wills.

I've done a punky tomorrow inspired outfit! it is very different to my usual look but i like it!!
I didn't go as far as a loose tie because I'm not really that punky, so i found myself replacing the tie with a scarf instead!!
scarf from bambooshoot, tights and skirt from M&S, nicky clarke hair clip, shoes are mums (ssssshhhhhhh!) , braces are dads (sssshhhhhh!)and the top is from some groovy family friends who live in America.I also did a sketch of the outfit !!

I was going to do a punk rock look inspired by tomorrow's gorgeous new posts but I looked past my I love NY hoodie at my pinstriped dress. I have been meaning to post it up for ages because its one of my favorite pieces of clothing. I bought it from a lovely shop in a shopping centre in covent garden on a trip to london with my homies (mum dad and brother!) where the man who served us had made all the clothes, and there was only one or two of these dresses in the whole world! It was so inspiring and groovy that I had to buy something ,so i did! the shopping centre was just near urban outfitters in covent garden and the shop was called terminal D.

For my look I have used my pinstriped dress, jack wills polo shirt(worn under dress), kimchi blue shirt dress (worn as jacket unbuttoned), fred perry leather high top shoes, nicky clarke hair clip and my new aristoc cable knit tights !!! MY NEW TIGHTS!!

Beginning to love Alexander Wang. i really want his trademark hair- that huge side plait that gets thinner and thinner - though you need long hair to do it:( o well only 18months growing and I'm there!

I've finally found some time to have a search through my wardrobe for some plaid/checkered outfits. This is what i have come up with. it's inspired by tomorrow and bubble's amazing plaid outfits, but also by the first picture of the load of Vivienne Westwood ones where she uses a tartan jacket with argyle legwarmers.

red boots are Dr martens, plaid shirt and tank vest (worn underneath) from new look, coat from next, socks Christmas present, glasses from dressing up box (!) and headband from freedom at topshop.

I enjoyed the challenges of an all one colour outfit because you always find you want to add a hint of at least one extra colour to it as a statement, but if you manage to ignore your temptations then the whole outfit becomes a statement!! genius.

Here is yet another stunning outfit from Vivienne Westwood! I love the bed head hair do and scruffy expression on the model that finishes off the amazing dress. I adore the sort of messed up collar idea and the feature red print that brings the grey alive- its defiantly a well thought on and difficult piece but it looks so effortless on the catwalk. I may try an inspired look from it.

This is Gerald. If you are good friends to him then we allow you to call him by his nickname, Gez. He is a one and a half year old hermanns tortoise and his hobbies include eating, escaping, having a bath, being warmed up under his heat light, climbing, watching friends and generally causing havoc. But we let him off for all of his mischief because he is so damn cute !!

After nosing around and trying on almost everything in town, I now believe that cable sweaters are utterly the way forward. It has a load of looks to it depending on what you dress it with including traditional, old fashioned and preppy (some of my favorite new styles).

As you can see mine is a lovely dark mossy green, which is quite a rare colour but I think It makes it lovely and oldy worldy. It is a statement colour which, according to January's vogue, should be worn with blushed neutrals.
